Biodiesel as an alternative fuel. Tired of paying high prices?

Here we have a jug of fresh brewed biodiesel.

It looks good enough to cook with doesn't it?

Biodiesel as an Alternative Fuel

With increasing prices in diesel we will see a revolution in the industry to

seek better fuel that costs less. Most drivers want something that will reduce

their fuel costs. Many of them want a fuel that runs clean and safe in their

cars. They want fuel that is also cheaper.

Since then, a number of alternative fuel have been introduced in the market and a

couple of them have gathered a following. One such alternative fuel is Biodiesel.

Biodiesel offers the general public a good fuel alternative.

A Different Fuel

One important feature that makes Biodiesel so different from the other alternatives

out there is that you do not have to go out and buy a new vehicle or even modify

your current car in order to use Biodiesel. If you run off diesel fuel then you

will have no problems using Biodiesel.

Biodiesel is very different from regular fuel, but in positive ways. Biodiesel

burns like any other diesel fuel which is the very reason why you can use it in

your car without modifying. In addition, it is a fact that Biodiesel tends to burn

cleaner, so your engine will experience lesser wear and tear. Plus, it creates

lesser pollution. It also is safer with less chance of explosion or fire.

Blended Biodiesel

It is interesting to note that most commercial Biodiesel sold today are blended

version. When it is blended, it means that Biodiesel and regular diesel are mixed

at various levels. The reason why it is done that way is because Biodiesel at its

purest form does not perform well with conventional rubber parts found in cars.

You see, hoses and other rubber parts will wear down over time with consistent

use of Biodiesel. The solution to correct this common issue is to mix Biodiesel and

regular diesel together.

B100 (ie. 100% Biodiesel) is non-blended Biodiesel can still be found. For those

who have removed the rubber parts in their engine will get maximum benefits from

using pure Biodiesel. However, a mixed Biodiesel is still better than straight

diesel fuel and it can be used in any diesel-driven vehicle safely.

Some biodiesel Myths

There are many myths about Biodiesel that make people become critical of its'

usability. The known issue of Biodiesel breaking down rubber parts of the engine is

not realy an issue when we look at the details. It is not expensive when it comes

to replacing the rubber parts compared to the problems that may arise from using

regular diesel. Biodiesel is much cleaner and so the effect of wear and tear is

greatly reduced. That means that you will have lesser servicing done to your car

In the end, people will realize that Biodiesel is simply a better choice. In spite

of all the adverse talks and the rumors, Biodiesel is a proven alternative fuel for

drivers today.
